You’re awesome and somehow your mom might be awesomer… love those stories of people taking ownership of their life and completely changing their trajectory. Thank you both for the constant inspiration and perspective setting example of it’s never too late 👊🏻

Oh my gosh, I love these!

I am going to email my teenagers and tell them they can cancel the marching band I am sure they have booked for me and instead buy a few of these little beauties!

My mom isn’t with us anymore, but I will also steal these for my dad‘s 88th birthday coming up in a few weeks. I bet I can get my dad to agree to do some of these exercises with my daughter! They could both use it!

You can join the marching band with the bands you receive. Take a 9-12” band, hook the ends over each forefoot and march with knees high. You’ll never took at anyone marching the same way again

Not entirely sure my mother would talk to me if I got her a gym membership 😅

My dad, on the other hand... He's drinking protein shakes regularly now at my nudging. 😎

If I can get my mom (who doesn’t like to go to grocery store without makeup or to sweat) to the gym, you’ve got to at least try!!! Good deal on your dad though.

You put a smile on my face with your post. I enjoy your stories about your parents save the one about your dad falling off the roof.

I think it’s worth pointing out that there are different ways that people get movement into their lives. My mom was a consummate gardener. She did English gardens that were very complex and required lots of maintenance. That was her form of exercise. I remember one day she was kneeling in her garden and looked up as a jogger stumbled by. I heard her mumble if that person had all that much excess energy, she had a much better outlet for it. It was all I could do to keep from falling on the ground, laughing.

One of my closest friends was a gardener and it kept her outside all the time moving. English gardens are impressive! Too bad she couldn't get that jogger to weed for her.
